Unit 15 The Grass Is Always Greener on the Other Side ...

It always looks better. The other side, the grass on the other side. Not just the grass, also the neighbour's apartment, your friend's Dad's car, your classmate's mobile phone, computer or even clothes.

So many people are not satisfied with what they have. They think that all the above examples would be a better way to live their lives. What they don't realize, is that often they already have so many perfect things in their lives (their parents, friends, hobbies etc.). The sad part is that is usually takes losing or nearly losing what they have  to realize how much it means to them (and how happy they were with what they had).

Unit 13 How did castles protect their owners?

Vocabulary http://quizlet.com/3025423/unit-13-the-londoners-flash-cards/

Leeds castle is in Kent in the south of England. Leeds Castle calls itself "the loveliest castle in the world". It has a maze. In the 16th century mazes were a popular entertainment. Adults as well as children would go in and get lost in the high walls for fun.
If enemies threatened the area, people from the surrounding area went inside the castle walls for protection. A moat or lake around a castle made it more difficult to attack.
