The Way Life Used To Be/ Describing Past

Life in the nineteenth century was a lot harder than it is today. Many children had to work and did not go to school at all. Rich people had a lot of servants who worked long hours for very little money. Work in the factories was more difficult then because people often did the jobs that machines do today.
